About the Doctors

Michael O. McMunn, D.D.S., A.C.D., M.A.G.D., F.I.C.O.I.

Dr. Michael McMunn has been providing outstanding dental care since 1978. He graduated from Edinboro University before attending the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He also completed a General Practice Residency at the Michael Reese Medical Center. To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. McMunn maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Society, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, VA Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Implant Forum of Virginia.

He is actively involved in the community, supporting and volunteering with various charitable organizations, including MOM projects, Crossover Ministry Dental Clinics and Donated Dental Services. He is also a lifetime member and past president of the MCV Alumni Association and serves as Director of Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.

Away from the office, Dr. McMunn enjoys skiing, playing golf and being a grandfather.

Shari L. Ball, D.D.S.

Dr. Shari Ball has practiced dentistry since 1990. Before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Ball graduated from Old Dominion University School of Dental Hygiene. She also completed a General Practice Dental Residency at MCV School of Dentistry. She is actively involved in the dental community as a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and the Richmond Dental Society.

To give back to the community, she volunteers at her church, in her childrens’ schools, with the American Heart Association and on the Board of Directors of her neighborhood association.

During her free time, she enjoys gardening and cooking.

Robert W. Bigelow. DDS

Dr. Bigelow grew up in Staunton, VA and received his BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2005. He received his dental degree from the VCU School of Dentistry in 2009 and went on to do a two year General Practice Residency at the McGuire Veterans Hospital here in Richmond.

When not practicing dentistry, Bob is active in his church, sings in the choir, enjoys listening to and playing music on a trio of instruments – piano, guitar and trumpet, and he is a collector of vinyl records. He also enjoys golf, sailing, racquet ball and following the Tennessee Vols football team.
